Officers of the Nigeria Police Force were seen on Tuesday, the second day of the #EndBadGovernance protest taking place across Nigeria, harassing a lone physically challenged protester at the front gate of the Bauchi State Government House, Osun Defender reports.

In a video obtained by Osun Defender, two policemen were captured on camera manhandling a physically challenged man who had posters with various inscriptions pasted on his wheelchair.

On the first day of the protest, demonstrators attempted to reach the government house but were met with resistance from the police, who fired tear gas to disperse them.

Earlier, the protesters had assembled in front of the Emir of Bauchi’s palace, demanding a meeting with the Emir but were stopped by a police barricade. They later regrouped, marching through Nasarawa Gate and CBN Roundabout, but were dispersed once again by the police. Roads leading to the government house have been barricaded, and movement in the vicinity is now restricted.

All efforts to reach the spokesperson of the police in Bauchi for comment on the harrassment captured on video proved abortive.
