A keke rider in Abuja on Friday revealed he was paid N5,000 not to protest against the government.

The Hausa motorcyclist who does not reveal his name in a video said those who gave him and the others the money begged them to shun the #EndBadGovernance protest.

He added that he joined the protest having collected the money, alleging that some of the people who have been disrupting the peaceful protest in Abuja were among those who collected the N5,000.

He said, “I am among the people that collected N5,000. They gave me the day before yesterday. They gathered us in a town hall.

“I’m a keke rider. I carried many people to that place and they gave us N5,000 each.

“They lecture us not to join the protest telling us that some people will come to disrupt the protest. There was a chairman I knew who came there.

“Those who came to disrupt the peaceful protest yesterday and today were among those who we collected the N5,000 together.”
