Defiant Trump Vows Not To Surrender After Second Assassination Attempt
Former US president Donald Trump has vowed that he will never surrender following another assassination attempt on his life on Sunday.
Gunshots were fired on Sunday at Trump’s golf course near West Palm Beach while he was present.
The incident, according to Feds was a failed assassination attempt.
Secret Service agents spotted the barrel of a rifle poking through some bushes and opened fire at him, officials said. The FBI said Trump was 300-500 yards (275 to 455m) away at the time.
An AK47-style firearm and scope, along with two backpacks and a GoPro camera, were later found at the scene.
An alert sent out by Trump’s team insisted that the Republican candidate is “safe and well”.

It read: “There were gunshots in my vicinity, but before rumours start spiralling out of control, I wanted you to hear this first: I am safe and well
“Nothing will slow me down. I will never surrender.”
This comes months after Trump survived a separate attempt on his life that saw him shot in the ear.
