A viral video has surfaced on social media, showing a shocking incident at a Zenith Bank branch where two security officers allegedly cocked their guns and threatened to shoot a customer.

The security officers, instead of de-escalating the situation, were seen chasing the man with guns in hand.
Meanwhile, Osun Defender had earlier reported that Zenith Bank customers across Nigeria are expressing frustration as the bank’s system outage, initially planned as a 24-hour upgrade, has now stretched beyond one week.
Osun Defender gathered that the prolonged downtime has left salary earners, NYSC members, and other customers unable to access their funds or make transactions, creating widespread inconvenience.

The bank’s upgrade, which was intended to enhance its digital platform, has instead left many customers unable to log in or initiate transfers.
NYSC corps members who rely on Zenith Bank for their allowances have been particularly affected, with reports surfacing that they have yet to receive their N77,000 allowance.
Salary earners are also among the most affected, with many stranded and unable to receive their monthly payments.
Although a few customers have reported being able to complete transfers, a substantial number are still experiencing difficulties accessing their accounts, even after 168 hours of disruption. This has sparked growing concerns about the bank’s ability to resolve the issue swiftly.
