17-Year-Old Remanded For Sexually Abusing Employer’s Minors
A 17-year-old domestic help, Silas Daniel, has been remanded for allegedly defiling his employer’s son and daughter in Lagos State.
The victims are both five-year old.
The Lagos Police Command reported that Daniel had sexual intercourse with the minors whenever the employer was away, leaving the children in his care.
Daniel confessed to the crime during questioning.
He was arraigned in court on October 18, 2024, and remanded at the Special Correctional Center in Adigbe, Abeokuta, due to his minor status.

Lagos Police Command spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin said in a statement on Monday that, “On the 10th day of October 2024, at about 1400hrs, the above-mentioned case was transferred from Dopemu Police Division to Gender Unit of the Lagos State Police Command, Ikeja.
“The case was reported by the complainant on behalf of his daughter, aged 5, and his son, aged 10, against one Silas Daniel, ‘m’, aged 17, who is the domestic help to the complainant.
“The complainant alleged that the said Silas defiled his daughter and his son and that he had sexual intercourse with the two minors in the house of the complainant whenever he was not at home and left the children in the house.
“The complainant stated further that he (Silas Daniel) sodomized his son. The alleged suspect confessed to the crime upon questioning.
“The suspect was arraigned in court on 18/10/2024 and has been remanded at Special Correctional Center, Adigbe, Abeokuta, based on the fact that he is 17 years of age.”
