Four Party Guests Drown In Osun River
Four men have reportedly drowned in the Osun River along Ajindo in the Okemesi area of Ekiti State.
This was as the state police command says it is investigating the deaths of the four men.
The police spokesperson in Ekiti, Sunday About, in a statement, said that two of the victims came from Lagos to attend a burial ceremony at Okemesi.
Abutu said it is unclear how the men drowned considering that the river was neither full nor overflowing its banks at the time of the incident.
“A distress report received on Sunday has it that on Sunday, a 23-year-old man and a 25-year-old man, who are natives of Okemesi-Ekiti, went to River Osun Ajindo/Idoile road to swim,” the statement reads.
