Presidency Spends N5.1billion To Purchase 26 Vehicles For State House In Three Weeks

Nigerian presidency under Bola Tinubu spent N5.1billion on buying cars between August 18 and September 9.

This was according to a document from the public payments portal, Govspend.

In the document, the State House paid N3.4billion on August 18, for the purchase of sixteen numbers of 2023/2024 model Toyota Prado, to the State House, Abuja at the rate of N212million each.

On September 9th 2024, N1.7 billion was spent to purchase 10 units of Toyota Camry V4, 2023, to the State House, each costing N170 million.

The Govspend website also showed that the Tinubu-led Presidency under the tag “State House” spent the sum of N9.2billion on motor vehicles between in March and May 2024.

The above showed that with the latest development, the presidency spent N14.4billion on motor vehicles between March and September 09.

Osun Defender earlier reported that the Ministry of Finance spent the sum of over N54 million for the sendforth party of a former permanent secretary, special duties of the Ministry, Mr Udo Okonkwo Ekanem.

The money according to the Govspend portal, was paid into the account of one Unoh Omolara.

The payment was made by the Federal Ministry of Finance.
