Osun Defender reported that Nwabali broke the news of his father, Chief Godspower Onyekam Abali (also known as Chief Onyeogazrim I of Okwuzi), passing away on Friday via social media. Chief Abali, a former chief surveyor, died at the age of 67.
With Nwabali unavailable for selection, the competition for the starting goalkeeper spot in the match at Godswill Akpabio Stadium will be between Maduka Okoye, who plays in Italy, and Amas Obasogie, who is based in Ethiopia.
