Chevron Pensioners Protest In Lagos (Photos)
On Tuesday, retirees of Chevron Nig Ltd stormed the headquarters of the multi-national oil company in Lagos, in protest against what they termed “grievances”.
Armed with placards with different inscriptions such as “We say no to dissolution of CNCPFA”, “Chevron stop discrimination against retirees”, “Nigeria is a sovereign nation: respect our laws above your policies”, “Chevron, treat us like other IOCs. Be considerate for once!”, and others, the retirees took turns to relay their unapproved delay in payment of their pensions, among others.

One of the placards listed their grievances to include: Breaking Nigerian law, disdain for pensioners, non-engagement of PenCon, and frozen pension for decades.
