The All Progressives Congress (APC), Olusokun Ward 04, Ede North Local Government, Osun State, has announced the indefinite suspension of Mr. Tunde Ayofe, a known loyalist of the former governor of the state and Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola.

In a resolution signed by the Ward Chairman, Mr. Yekeen Kazeem, and the Secretary, Mr. Aminullah Sulaiman, alongside other party executives, Ayofe’s suspension was attributed to alleged anti-party activities and gross misconduct.

The decision, communicated through an official letter, highlighted various allegations against Ayofe, which include: non-attendance and lack of participation in all party meetings and activities for the past two years; failure to vote in the last governorship, state, and national elections, thereby neglecting his party responsibilities; continued public association with opposition parties; verbal attacks on the leadership of the party, including Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, during a public engagement on Rave FM in November 2024; and open incitement of youths against party leaders and government policies at the federal level.

Citing Article 21, Section 21.2 of the APC Constitution, the party leaders concluded that Ayofe’s actions contravened established party guidelines and warranted suspension.

“Effective from November 20, 2024, Ayofe is barred from participating in all party-related activities indefinitely,” the statement read.

The resolution, co-signed by several ward executives, including the Vice Chairman, Treasurer, Youth Leader, and others, has been forwarded to key stakeholders, including the State Party Chairman and other relevant authorities, for necessary action.
