Mr. Tunde Ayofe, a prominent loyalist of former governor and Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, has reacted to his suspension from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Osun Defender had earlier reported that the APC Olusokun Ward 04, Ede North Local Government, Osun State, had suspended Ayofe over alleged anti-party activities and gross misconduct.

This was contained in a resolution signed by the Ward Chairman, Mr. Yekeen Kazeem, and the Secretary, Mr. Aminullah Sulaiman, alongside other party executives.

According to the party, Ayofe had been inactive for the past two years, with allegations of his failure to attend or participate in party meetings and activities.

He was also accused of failing to vote during the last governorship, state, and national elections, a clear violation of his party obligations.

Additionally, his public association with opposition parties, verbal criticisms of party leaders, including Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, during a recent radio engagement, and the incitement of youths against federal policies were cited as reasons for the suspension.

Reacting to the suspension, Ayofe dismissed the resolution as inconsequential.

In a post on his Facebook account on Friday, Ayofe lambasted his critics, describing their actions as futile.

“Eyin ti ori yin ti buru. You will type that letter tired. The game is the game, and you won’t succeed in that coup against Osun Omo Balogun come 2026, insha Allahu,” his post read.
