Tinubu Postpones 2025 Budget Presentation
The much-anticipated presentation of the N47.9 trillion 2025 budget by President Bola Tinubu to the National Assembly has been postponed by a day.
Initially scheduled for Tuesday, December 17, the event will now hold on Wednesday, December 18, 2024.
This development was confirmed by an insider source within the top management of the National Assembly, who disclosed that an official statement regarding the change would be issued shortly.
During plenary last Thursday, Senate President Godswill Akpabio had informed lawmakers that President Tinubu would present the budget before a joint session of the National Assembly on December 17.
The presentation was to take place at the House of Representatives Chamber.

“The president has made his intention known to the National Assembly to present the 2025 budget to the joint session on the 17th of December, 2024,” Akpabio had announced.
He also directed lawmakers to convene in the Senate Chamber at 10:30 am on the appointed day before proceeding to the House of Representatives Chamber for the budget presentation.
