Preliminary reports suggest that the aircraft may have lost its nose landing gear tyre during landing, leading to the incident.

OSUN DEFENDER reports that the latest incident comes on the heels of a similar emergency last week Thursday, when a United Airlines Flight from Lagos to Washington, D.C. Boeing 787-8, declared an emergency mid-air, causing panic among passengers.

As the flight navigated the harrowing situation, passengers prayed for divine intervention, reflecting the tense atmosphere. However, the aircraft safely landed back at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.

The frequency of these incidents raises concerns about aviation safety in Nigeria.

As of the time of filing this report, no official of the airline could be reached for comments.

Also, efforts to speak with the officials of the Nigeria Safety Investigation Bureau were unsuccessful. Several calls and text messages put across to the spokesperson of the agency were neither picked up nor responded to.
