Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has turned to God for help after pleading with President Bola Tinubu to intervene in his dispute with the Ogun State government.

Last week, officials sealed his uncompleted building and hotel over alleged illegal construction without an approval permit, leading to the detention of some of his customers and workers.

Seeking divine intervention, Portable shared a video of himself praying fervently in church, calling on God to rescue him from his troubles.

OSUN DEFENDER earlier reported that the singer also directly appealed to President Tinubu, urging him to intervene by persuading Governor Dapo Abiodun to reconsider his actions.

The controversy forced Portable to cancel his London show, saying his priority was to protect his family and property.

Reassuring his fans, he said, “As long as I am alive, I will always have the opportunity to perform globally.”

The singer also expressed frustration over what he described as a lack of appreciation from the Ogun State government, despite his contributions to the community, including installing streetlights and repairing roads.

In another twist, Portable publicly accused his father of mismanaging funds meant to settle police-related matters concerning the sealed property.

He lamented, “My father abandoned me in this time of trouble. He failed to support me when I needed him the most.”
