US Deports 135 Migrants To Costa Rica, Including 65 Minors
The United States has deported 135 migrants of various nationalities, including 65 minors, to Costa Rica.
Their flight departed from San Diego, California, and landed at a base near Juan Santamaria International Airport. An AFP journalist confirmed their arrival.
According to Costa Rica’s Deputy Interior Minister, Omer Badilla, all 65 children on board were accompanied by a relative.
He added that none of the deportees had a criminal record.

The migrants included individuals from Afghanistan, China, Iran, Russia, Armenia, Georgia, Vietnam, Jordan, Kazakhstan, and Ghana.
Costa Rica, along with Panama and Guatemala, has agreed to temporarily host migrants expelled by the US until they are repatriated or sent to other host countries.
The deportees were transported by bus from the capital, San Jose, to a migrant facility near the Panama border, about 360 kilometres away.
Last week, Panama received 299 deported migrants.
Around 100 of them were transferred to the San Vicente refugee camp in Meteti, located in the Darien jungle province.
