Osun College Announces Early Closure Over Owa’s Coronation
The Management of Osun State College of Health Technology, Ilesa, has directed both staff and students to vacate the school by 2pm on Monday 10th, March, as a result of the curfew declared for the coronation rites of the new Owa Obokun of Ijesland, Oba Clement Adesuyi Haastrup.
A short statement by the Registrar of the College, Mr Moshood Afolabi, noted that the step is to allow both staff and students of the College get to their various homes before the commencement of the curfew at 7p.m.
The statement reads in parts, “As you are all aware, a curfew has been declared in Ilesa between 7pm of Monday, March 10, to 6am of Tuesday, March 11, 2025 as part of the Coronation rites of the new Owa Obokun of Ijesland.
“For the safety of our staff and students, the College Management has directed both staff and students to close by 2pm on Monday 10th and resume by 10am on Tuesday, 11th March, 2025.”
