Yes Or No Chairmen Absent As Newly Elected Osun ALGON Chair, Scribe Attend ALGON Southwest Zonal Meeting
The newly elected Chairman of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria ALGON, Osun chapter, Honorable Awotunde Sharafadeen, on Monday, attended the southwest geopolitical zone stakeholders meeting of the association.
Awotunde was recently elected alongside other chairmen and councilors under the Peoples Democratic Party.
This was despite the reinstated chairmen elected under the All Progressives Congress occupying the local government secretariat.
OSUN DEFENDER reports that there has been a political crisis over the control of local governments in the state since the Court of Appeal judgement which reportedly reinstated the Yes or No chairmen.

Sharafadeen, who doubles as Executive Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government Area of Osun state was accompanied by Secretary of the Osun ALGON, Hon. Lukman Afolabi, to the meeting
The meeting, according to the report, was held at Ikeja, the state capital of Lagos.
The meeting was centered on the Implementation of the Local Government Proof of Address System.
Those in attendance at the meeting include, Hon Sanda Sikiru, Oyo State ALGON Chairman, Hon Segun Ojo, Ekiti ALGON Chairman, Ondo State ALGON Chairman, and Dr Gbenga Fashua.
