Former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey Locked Out Of X Account
The co-founder and former CEO of Twitter, Jack Dorsey, has been locked out of his account on X, the platform that replaced Twitter under Elon Musk’s leadership.
On Wednesday, Dorsey disclosed the restriction on Primal, an alternative social media platform, revealing that his X account was under an 11-hour lockout period.
“We have determined that you have violated the X rules, so you’ll need to wait some time before using X again. You’ll be able to unlock your account in: 11 hours and 3 minutes,” he posted on Primal.
The reason behind the lockout remains unclear, as X has yet to issue an official statement.
The development has sparked widespread reactions, with some users speculating whether it was a technical glitch or a deliberate action.
Dorsey, who stepped down as Twitter’s CEO in 2021, has continued to influence the tech space.
However, the restriction has drawn mixed responses from X users, with some mocking him over past content moderation policies during his tenure.
Reacting to the news, Patriot Lady @angelwoman501 tweeted, “Jack Dorsey, former CEO of Twitter, has been locked out of his X. How does it feel, Jack? We will never forget how you were taking millions from Joe Biden to cancel conservatives. Were you on the USAID payroll as well? Jack, you look terrible.”
Another user, Oli London @olilondontv, remarked, “Under Dorsey’s Twitter leadership, thousands of conservatives had their accounts suspended.”
Tiffany Fong @tiffanyfong_ made light of the situation, saying, “Jack Dorsey, former CEO of Twitter, has been thrown in 𝕏 jail 🤣.”
Western Decline @westerndecline_ also weighed in, “For all the accounts that were wrongfully suspended while he was the CEO of Twitter… I don’t feel an ounce of sympathy for the guy.”
Dorsey’s last known activity on X involved retweeting external content, but none of his recent posts indicate what led to the restriction.
So far, he has not provided further updates through Primal or other platforms.
