My Son Is Now Fulfilling His Duties To Me – Asake’s Father

Mr Fatai Odunsi, father of popular Nigerian singer Asake, has revealed in a recent interview that his son has taken responsibility for his hospital bills and is making arrangements to buy him a house on Lagos Island.

This development comes after Mr Odunsi had earlier gone public, seeking financial assistance and claiming Asake had ignored him since 2022 despite his health struggles.

In response, Asake dismissed the allegations, stating that he had been financially supporting his father but that human beings could never be satisfied.

During the controversy, Mr Odunsi and his family also shared a video introducing a woman they claimed to be Asake’s baby mama and an 11-year-old girl named Zeenat, alleged to be his daughter.

However, in a fresh interview with Mr Lilgaga, Mr Odunsi confirmed that he has now spoken with Asake, who has already covered his medical expenses.

He further stated that his son has started the process of securing a house for him in Lagos Island, with agents actively searching for a suitable property.

He also mentioned that Asake has committed to taking full responsibility for his alleged daughter.

In his words, of “Asake has started fulfilling all his duties to me as my son. Asake said they should go and look for a house to buy for me on the island. For the past 24 hours, they have been looking for a house to buy for me. We have settled our grievances, there is no problem again between us. He is also going to fully take care of his child. Hospital bills too will be covered. The only issue I really had with my son Asake is that he had not spoken to me in a while or even cared about me. My annoyance was that his mother did not encourage him to ask about my well-being or cater to my needs.”
