Peter Obi Was Buying, Selling While Tinubu Fought For Democracy – Bwala
Presidential media aide Daniel Bwala has criticised Peter Obi, former Anambra governor, calling him an ignorant politician who was focused on “buying and selling” while Bola Tinubu and others fought for democracy in Nigeria.
In a tweet on Tuesday, Bwala slammed Obi over his remarks that democracy had collapsed under President Tinubu’s administration.
“It is funny how failed politicians are trying to redefine democracy. @PeterObi said democracy has collapsed. Does he even know the meaning of democracy? When people were fighting for democracy, Gregory was buying and selling,” Bwala stated.
He accused Obi of having no history of democratic activism and instead promoting hate speech.
“If you look at where we are today, it’s like they (the PDP) started in 1999; laid the foundation. Some people came and took it to decking, and some people were trying to take it to the first floor when some people came and knocked everything down,” Obi had said on Monday in Abuja at a colloquium marking the 60th birthday of former Governor Emeka Ihedioha.
“That is the situation we are now. Everything has been knocked down, and nothing works,” Obi added.
