  • You Are The Least Educated Among Commissioners, Ijesa-North Deserves Better – Oke Replies Ogungbangbe

The lawmaker representing Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency, Wole Oke, has described the Osun State Commissioner for Cooperatives and Empowerment, Bayo Ogungbangbe, as the least educated among the commissioners in the state.

Oke, who recently defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in a Facebook post on Monday, said Ijesa North has better hands than Ogungbangbe, challenging the commissioner to bring out results of infrastructure development and youth empowerment in Iloko, where he comes from.

Oke’s post was in reply to a video by Ogungbangbe where he challenged the lawmaker to contest under another party and see if he truly has control of the votes in Ijesa North.

The Commissioner in the viral video, said Oke was just bluffing and can’t stop the PDP from getting votes in the zone during the next election.

He said, “If he truly felt he is in control of the PDP mandate, tell him to resign and contest on another platform to test his popularity. Is Wole Oke the one voting for us in Ijebu-Jesa, Dagbaja, Ipetu-Ijesa, Iloko, and others? He is just bluffing.”

But Oke while replying to Ogungbangbe, said, “Illiteracy is a disease. The least educated commissioner in Osun state. We have better hands in Ijesa North. Address issues. Infrastructure decay and youth unemployment is what we are taking (sic) about. Bring out the results from Iloko over years.”

Meanwhile, the Director of Media and Publicity, Osun PDP, Oladele Bamiji, while reacting to commenting on Oke’s post, described the lawmaker as a privileged illiterate.

Bamiji said talking about infrastructural deficits in Obokun/Oriade is an indictment on Oke’s integrity and performance in office for the past 20 years.

He wrote, “Privileged illiterate calling another person illiterate. Talking about infrastructural deficits in a constituency of 2 local governments you have been representing for almost 20 years is an indictment on yourself, your integrity, reasoning, and performance in office for those years.

“The way national assembly is configured in Nigeria, State government should have nothing much to bother about in terms of infrastructure upgrade in those 2 local governments had it been you served your people well with the opportunity given to you.

“I have seen your counterpart, Rep Bamidele Salam facilitated many road rehabilitations here in Ede federal constituency for instance, and the question is, what similar thing have you done, away from reroofing some palaces for these number of years?

“The privilege given to you by the people of Oriade and Obokun should have been used to attend to those infrastructure decay which should have lessened the burden of a mere 2years+ administration, which you are expecting to fix those infrastructures you refused to attend to with your position in 20years.

“So, when you talk of infrastructural decay, pause a bit and engage your thinking cap if you are not actually indicting yourself in the court of those who can think properly.”
