Ahead of the 2026 gubernatorial election in Osun State, the leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state has cautioned governorship aspirants within the party to shun all forms of campaign calumny.

2. LG Crisis: Osun APC Hails Judge For Withdrawing From Suit, Blasts NULGE

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has commended Justice Isiaka Adeleke of the Osun State High Court, Ikirun Division, for recusing himself from the controversial suit filed by the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) aimed at sacking the Yes/No APC council chairmen and councillors.

The party described the judge’s decision as a “victory for justice and a safeguard against judicial compromise,” warning the leadership of NULGE against allowing itself to be used as a political pawn in the dangerous game being orchestrated by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)-led government in the state.

OSUN DEFENDER recalls that the suit filed before Justice Isiaka Adeleke by the leadership of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, seeking an order of the court to bar APC reinstated council officials from secretariats, suffered a major setback on Thursday as the judge recused himself from the suit.
