1. Adeleke, Osun APC Bicker Over Performance

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Governor Ademola Adeleke have traded words over the performance of the incumbent governor since he assumed office in 2022.

The APC had in a congratulatory message to Governor Adeleke on his 65th birthday anniversary, cautioned him to sit up for the delivery of qualitative governance for the visibly deprived people of the state.

But the Governor in a swift reaction, said the state witnessed a monument disaster during the tenure of the immediate past administration of the state under ex-Governor Gboyega Oyetola.

2. Osun LG Election: Man Allegedly Arrested By Oyetola Dies In Police Custody

A 40-year-old man identified as Ademola Adelugbin Apomu has died while in police custody at the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) facility in Abuja, following his prolonged detention.

Sources told SaharaReporters that Apomu was one of seven individuals arrested in connection with local government election matters in Osun State.

3. Osun LG Election: Abass Family Defends Oyetola, Egbetokun Over Death Of Suspect In Police Custody

The family of slain former Chairman of Irewole Local Government Area of Osun State, Mr. Remi Abass has dissociated former governor Adegboyega Oyetola now Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, from the death of Mr. Ademola Adelugbin Apomu, one of the suspects arrested in connection with his murder.

Sahara Reporters had reported that Apomu, alongside six others, were arrested by the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) of the Police on the instructions of IGP Kayode Egbetokun, allegedly on Oyetola’s directives.

4. Osun APC Lawmaker, Others Endorse Adeleke For Second Term

Members of the Osun State House of Assembly on Tuesday, unanimously passed a vote of confidence on Governor Ademola Adeleke, endorsing him for a second term ahead of the 2026 gubernatorial election in the state.

The endorsement came after a motion for a vote of confidence was initiated by Adewumi Adeyemi, representing the Obokun State Constituency, and seconded by Taofiq Olayiwola from Ede South State Constituency.
