The Osogbo community has again praised former Governor of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, for his giant strides in changing the face of the ancient town to a development-centric state capital.
Asiwaju of Osogbo, Rtd. Justice Adekunle Adeigbe, stated this at a programme organised by Omoluabi Progressives to celebrate Aregbesola’s 68th birthday.
Adeigbe said the former Interior Minister’s passion for development transformed the town, a situation that has continued to bring massive growth and progress to Osogbo eight years after his governorship.
His words, “We always pray for you. You did a lot of work here. You practically transformed and changed the face of Osogbo to a befitting capital.
“We are grateful to you. All the roads and flyovers you did remain top-notch. Those projects have turned Osogbo into an investment destination, which we are all happy about. We cannot forget you.
“We pray that God grants you a long life and continued prosperity. By the grace of the Almighty, this won’t be the end of the journey. You are going higher,” Adeigbe noted.
