PHOTOS: Aminu Dantata Buried In Saudi Arabia
The remains of famous Nigerian businessman and philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, have been laid to rest in Madinah, Saudi Arabia, on Tuesday.
Dantata, who died Saturday in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, was buried at the Baqiyya cemetery.
Earlier, a prayer was held for the deceased at the Holy Prophet’s mosque after the Asr prayer.
His funeral prayer was attended by hundreds of people, who offered prayers for the repose of his soul.

The President of Dangote group, Aliko Dangote, in the company of his billionaire ally, Femi Otedola and others were present at the burial ceremony.
Muslim clerics held a funeral prayer for Dantata’s corpse in absentia at the Umar bn Khattab mosque, along Zaria Road, Gyadi-gyadi, Kano.

In addition to his business acumen, Dantata served as the Commissioner for Planning and Development in the old Kano State, among other public sector roles.
President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Northern Governors’ Forum, and other prominent Nigerians mourned Dantata’s death.
