Mass Defection Hits Kebbi As PDP, APC, SDP Members Join ADC
A fresh wave of defections has hit Kamba/Dandi Local Government Area of Kebbi State, as hundreds of members from the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), All Progressives Congress (APC) and Social Democratic Party (SDP), decamped to the African Democratic Congress, ADC.
The defectors were formally received into the ADC during a political event held in Kamba town on Wednesday.
Speaking on the development, State Chairperson of the ADC, Hajiya Hawa’u Muhammad, popularly known as Yar Buga, described the defections as a “major boost” for the party in Kebbi South and a sign of growing public dissatisfaction with the status quo.
“This movement shows that people are looking for an alternative, a party that listens and serves. ADC represents that hope,” she said.
The defectors were reportedly made up of former ward and unit officials who cited poor leadership and neglect by their former parties as reasons for the switch.
