The Deputy National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Bamidele Ajadi, has resigned as the chairman of the governing council of Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology.

He communicated his resignation to Governor Seyi Makinde on Thursday, stating reasons for his action.

According to him, the decision became inevitable due to the conflict of political interest between the role and that of his responsibility as ADC’s Deputy National Scribe

The letter partly read, “This letter is to formally inform you of my resignation as Chairman, Governing Council, Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology, Eleyele, Ibadan effective Tuesday, July 1, 2025.

”This decision was made after careful consideration, and while it was not an easy one, I believe it is time for me to step down based on principle.

”I am honestly convinced that continuing serving as Chairman, governing council, Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology, will definitely breed conflict of political interest, which may adversely impart my commitment to my Political party ADC as National Officer.

“I am sincerely grateful to your Excellency for the opportunity given- I greatly valued the opportunity to serve in such position as Chairman, governing council,” the letter read.
