A 27-year-old suspect, Michael Ojo, has been arrested in connection with cultism-related offences and kidnapping cases in Osun State.

Ojo, said to be a kingpin and leader of the notorious Aye confraternity in Akungba town, Ondo State, is linked to the kidnapping of two individuals, Abah John Friday and Okah Andrel, who were abducted on June 20, 2025, in Akungba, Ondo State.

Ojo and his accomplices stormed the victims’ residence, overpowering them and making off with their Lexus Jeep, iPhones, and other valuable items.

The victims have been held captive for several weeks, with their whereabouts unknown.

Acting on a tip-off from an informant, men of the anti-cultism unit of the Osun State Police Command, led by SP Afolabi Lukman went after the suspects and arrested Ojo.

The police recovered the stolen Lexus Jeep with the registration number GGE 197 JJ and documents connected to the kidnapped victims at Aramoko town in Ondo State.
