North West PDP Youth Leader Dumps Party For ADC
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suffered another blow as its North West Youth Leader, Hon. Hamza Yunusa Jibia, tendered his resignation from the party with immediate effect and joined the African Democratic Congress, ADC.
He cited indiscipline, disunity, and loss of direction within the PDP ranks as reasons for his defection.
In a letter dated 18th July, 2025, and addressed to the Chairman of Jibia Ward A in Katsina State, Jibia lamented that despite his efforts to contribute positively, the party’s current trajectory no longer aligns with his values and principles.
“The reason for my decision stems from observed indiscipline, disunity and a noticeable loss of direction within the party,” he wrote.
Hon. Jibia, who served in various capacities including Acting Publicity Secretary of the party in Katsina State and aspirant for the State House of Assembly in 2019, expressed appreciation for the opportunities given to him during his time with the PDP.
He wished the party well in its future endeavours, while calling on it to rediscover its foundational principles.
