1. Reps Summon Oyetola, Oyebamiji Over Alleged Irregularities In Multi-Billion Naira Port Project

The House of Representatives Ad-hoc Committee on the Rehabilitation and Operationalisation of the Baro Inland Port has summoned the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, and the Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority, Bola Oyebamiji, to appear before it to clarify issues surrounding the multi-billion-naira inland port project.

The summon was issued by the Chairman of the Ad-hoc Committee, Saidu Abdullahi, during a session in Abuja on Tuesday, mandating NIWA to provide all relevant documents relating to the planning, construction, handover, and current state of the port, which he said was conceived to ease the pressure on seaports and open up inland waterway transportation.

2. ADC Inaugurates Mark, Aregbesola, Others As Party’s NWC

The National Executive Committee of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Tuesday officially ratified and inaugurated the members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party.

Led by former Senate President David Mark as National Chairman, the party also swore in former Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola as National Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi as National Publicity Secretary, among others.

3. I Did Not Brag To Rig Osun 2026 Election Using INEC, Police – Oyetola

The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola, has denied the claim that he threatened to rig the 2026 gubernatorial election in Osun State.

OSUN DEFENDER reports that the state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, in a statement by its chairman, Sunday Bisi, had alleged that Oyetola, during a meeting last week, said he had perfected a plan to use officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission and the Police to win the election for the All Progressives Congress candidate.

4. 2026: Osun PDP Condemns Oyetola’s Alleged Plan To Use Police, INEC To Rig Election

The Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, of alleged threats to rig the 2026 governorship elections in Osun State.

Osun PDP, in a statement signed by its chairman, Sunday Bisi, said the Minister made the threat during the state caucus meeting of the All Progressives Congress last Friday.
