Notorious Hired Killer ‘Olori Eso’ Arraigned In Lagos
A notorious hired killer, Wasiu Akinwande, popularly known as Olori Eso, has been arraigned by the Lagos State Police Command on 11 charges, including murder and unlawful possession of arms.
Police spokesman Benjamin Hundeyin, in a statement on Tuesday, said the 44-year-old suspect, who had long terrorised Mushin and nearby areas, was finally captured in a raid tagged Silence, Speed, and Surprise at his hideout in Agbado, Ogun State.
“Wasiu Akinwande aka Olori Eso is currently being arraigned at the Ogba Magistrate Court on an eleven-count charge,” Hundeyin wrote on X.
Olori Eso, described as one of the most wanted hired killers in Lagos, had reportedly escaped several arrest attempts before he was eventually tracked down.
A large cache of firearms and other incriminating items were recovered during the operation. Police said the suspect confessed to using them in a series of killings and violent crimes.
