Lady Accuses RCCG of Neglecting Her Parents After 30 Years of Service

A lady has taken to social media to accuse the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) of abandoning her parents despite their decades of dedicated service to the ministry.

In a video posted online, she alleged that her father, who served in RCCG for many years, developed diabetes during his time of service.

The illness, she said, damaged his sight and legs, almost leading to amputation. He is now completely blind.

“My dad in course of serving came down with diabetes and it affected his sight, his legs, and almost got them amputated. He’s currently blind as we speak and it’s not been easy,” she said.

She claimed the church failed to provide any form of support during his illness and eventually asked him to step down from service without financial assistance.

“They even told him to step down from service without any money. The children are the ones sponsoring his medical bills. And they could not even do as little as check up on him,” she stated.

The lady also accused RCCG of demoting her mother, who served as an area pastor for over 30 years, without any assistance.

She further alleged that her father was never given the opportunity to meet the church’s General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, to seek help.

Speaking on how the experience has affected her faith, she said, “This discouraged me from going to church for some time. But God is not man. I’ve refused to serve in any department in church, I will only give my service to God which is my utmost obligation.”

As of press time, RCCG had yet to publicly respond to the allegations.
