Ondo DPO Dies After Sudden Illness
The Ondo State Police Command has confirmed the death of the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Kajola Police Station, Odigbo Local Government Area, CSP Nimrod Anaka.
Police spokesperson DSP Ayanlade Olushola told the News Agency of Nigeria on Wednesday that Anaka died on Tuesday while being taken to hospital after developing a sudden illness.
“I can confirm that the DPO (Anaka) has died, but it’s only medical expert that can confirm what caused his death. His age and indigene will be made known to the public later,” Ayanlade said.
The news has thrown officers at the Kajola station into mourning.
A source disclosed that Anaka’s body has been deposited at a mortuary.
