Ogun State Loses Paramount Monarch
The Olu of Arigbajo in Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State, His Royal Majesty, Oba Timothy Oluwole Sunday Mosaku, is dead.
The monarch’s family confirmed the monarch’s death in a release on Friday.
“Wake-keeping service would hold on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at his residence, Olu of Arigbajo palace by 5 p.m. Interment service is fixed for Friday, September 26, at St. John’s Anglican Church, Arigbajo, Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State by 11 a.m.”

Born in 1936 to Pa Samuel Olaonipekun Mosaku, son of Egunleti Mosaku (the first son of Mamowolo), Oba Mosaku rose steadily within the traditional hierarchy of Arigbajo.
He became Otun Baale of Arigbajo in 2001, was elevated to Baale in 2008, and in 2010, was formally gazetted by the Ogun State Government as the Oba of Arigbajo.
His coronation and installation were performed by the Alake of Egbaland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo.
