Man Killed In Attempted Abduction At Kwara Mosque
Gunmen have killed a 45-year-old man identified as “Alhaji Dahiru” during an attempted abduction in a mosque in Kwara.
This was disclosed by a counter-insurgency publication, Zagazola Makama.
According to Makama, the incident occurred in the Patigi LGA of the state.
Dahiru was reportedly murdered on August 30 around 8:30 pm during Ishai prayer.
About seven armed men were said to have stormed the mosque and attempted to abduct Dahiru, who resisted. He was shot dead on the spot before the assailants fled on motorcycles.
Residents said two empty shells of AK-47 ammunition were recovered at the scene after the incident.
Family members of the deceased have appealed for the release of his remains for burial in accordance with Islamic rites as investigations into the killing continue.
