Dangote Truck Crushes Family, Others To Death In Enugu
Tragedy struck on Wednesday morning when a Dangote truck crushed a family and several others to death at Four Corner, along the Enugu-Port Harcourt expressway in Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State.
Eyewitnesses said the number of casualties could not yet be ascertained. One of them told THE WHISTLER, “Family members up to two and others were killed. We don’t know how many people yet but some people were killed and others injured.”
A video of the incident circulating online showed onlookers mourning the victims and calling on the Dangote Group to urgently check the frequent involvement of its vehicles in fatal accidents.
Social media users also condemned the tragedy. A commentator, @Jamessurce2, wrote, “Dangote trailer has done it again; this time, it claimed an entire family’s lives in Enugu State. Something needs to be done about these constant accidents by Dangote drivers. May their souls rest in peace.”
Another user, @unstudentz, stated, “Dangote truck reportedly crushed several people to death this afternoon at Four Corner, Enugu State.”
The accident comes weeks after a Dangote trailer crushed the legs of Ruth Otabor, younger sister of Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner, Phyna, leading to her death. Reports said the driver responsible had no driving licence.
