Corruption: High-Profile Nigerians Risk Visa Denial – U.S

‎‎In its efforts to tackle graft and promote accountability, the U.S. government has said corrupt high-profile Nigerians can be denied visas.

‎The U.S. Mission in Nigeria disclosed this via its official X page on Monday.

‎“Fighting corruption knows no borders or limits on accountability. Even when high-profile individuals engage in corruption, they can be barred from receiving U.S. Visas,” the U.S. government said.

‎The position follows President Donald Trump’s stringent visa policies to check the influx of immigrants into the country. Over 2 million illegal aliens have been deported from the U.S. since Mr Trump assumed office for the second term, according to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
