1. Court Suspends 2025/2026 Admission In OAU, UNILAG

The Federal High Court sitting in Enugu has ordered the suspension of admission processes for the 2025/2026 academic session in the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), and the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

An education technology expert and Chief Executive Officer of Educare, Alex Onyia, confirmed the development in a post on his X handle on Tuesday, where he shared the court order.

2. Police Begin Investigation As Osun Community Alleges Amotekun Corps Killed Three Residents

The Osun State Police Command said it has begun an investigation into the circumstances that led to the death of three people at Akinlalu village.

According to a statement by the Command spokesperson, Abiodun Ojelabi, a chief from Akinlalu, Oyebamiji Kamiludeen had told the police that members of the Western Security Network (Amotekun) allegedly invaded the town and shot sporadically.

3. Three Lives Lost As Suspected Bandits Attack Osun Amotekun Operatives

The Osun State Security Network Agency, known as Amotekun Corps, on Tuesday, said some operatives of the agency were ambushed while responding to a distress call from residents of Akinlalu, a community in the Ile-Ife axis of the state.

The incident, according to a statement by the Corps spokesperson, Yusuf Idowu, occurred on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.
