How Our Four Leadership Pillars Will Redefine Politics — ADC
The National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Senator David Mark, has declared that the party is determined to raise a new standard of political leadership in Nigeria through its four core pillars — character, competence, courage, and discipline.
Speaking during the inaugural meeting of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) in Abuja on Tuesday, Mark said these values are non-negotiable and will serve as the guide for all members and leaders of the party.
He explained that the four pillars will not only guide ADC’s internal operations but also shape its political culture and decision-making process as it positions itself for the 2027 general elections.
According to him, ADC’s vision goes beyond the pursuit of power. The ultimate goal, he said, is to build a political legacy rooted in integrity and service — one that future generations can proudly inherit.
Mark also unveiled a new political blueprint for the party, emphasising that citizens’ welfare would remain at the centre of all its policies.
The blueprint, he added, is anchored on the “supremacy of rules over personalities, transparency through independent annual audits, and the prioritisation of merit above loyalty.”
He stressed that Nigerians are tired of empty slogans and cosmetic reforms, insisting that ADC’s new direction represents “a return to the fundamentals of good governance — where leaders lead by example and public trust is sacred.”
