Man Remanded Over Alleged Murder In Ekiti
A Chief Magistrate Court in Ado-Ekiti has ordered the remand of a 37-year-old man, Ogbaji Ransome, over an alleged case of murder.
The prosecutor, Inspector Bamidele Olasunkanmi, told the court there was probable cause to keep the suspect in custody for 30 days pending investigation.
He said the offence was allegedly committed on May 7, 2025, at Oye-Ekiti, contrary to Section 234 of the Ekiti State Criminal Laws, 2021.
Olasunkanmi urged the court to grant the remand request to allow the Director of Public Prosecution to issue legal advice.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs. H. E. Anoma, granted the request and ordered the remand of the defendant till November 13, 2025.
