God Will Not Leave You – Kwankwaso Slams Politicians Who Fled To Abuja Despite Insecurity
Former governor of Kano and leader of the New Nigerian Peoples Party, NNPP, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has accused prominent politicians who left for Abuja of abandoning ordinary Nigerians to hardship.
Speaking in Kano during the event marking his 69th birthday, Kwankwaso said those who “ran away” to grand homes have forgotten the people they were meant to serve.
He warned that God will hold them to account, saying, “God will not leave them.”
Kwankwaso complained that many lawmakers, senators, and ministers have retreated into luxury while poverty and insecurity bite communities across states such as Sokoto, Zamfara, Katsina, Niger, and Plateau.

He said banditry and other violent crimes are hitting civilians, especially in rural areas, and most victims are ordinary, poor people. He called for urgent action to protect citizens and for policies that ease everyday suffering.
On politics, Kwankwaso said the NNPP remains open to working with any party ahead of the 2027 elections.
He listed possible partners — APC, PDP, ADC, and even figures like Jonathan and Peter Obi — and added that the party will join whoever offers the best chance of success.
“If we see you are the right partner, we will come together,” he said, but stressed that the party would refuse any alliance that conflicts with its goals.
He emphasized the party’s priorities: relief for the poor, better education for young people, and stronger security.
“The poor must feel some comfort; our youths must be educated. Lives are being lost — most of them are our own people,” Kwankwaso said, urging leaders to stop enriching themselves while citizens suffer.
