Gov Adeleke to Present 2026 Budget to Assembly Wednesday
Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, is set to present the 2026 draft budget to the State House of Assembly on Wednesday.
Speaker of the Assembly, Adewale Egbedun, announced this on Tuesday during the plenary session in Osogbo.
Egbedun said the governor had sent a letter to the assembly confirming his intention to lay the draft budget before the House. According to the letter, the State Executive Council has completed preparations and approved the budget.
“I am pleased to inform Mr Speaker and the distinguished members of the Osun State House of Assembly of my intention to lay the 2026 Draft Estimates of the State before the House on Wednesday, Nov. 12, having concluded its preparation, and approved by the State Executive Council.
“This is to conform with the extant rules and regulations which stipulate that such Draft Estimates should be presented to the House for approval before the end of the year preceding the commencement of the Budget implementation,” the letter stated.
Meanwhile, the assembly also passed the ‘Osun State Research Integration and Innovation Implementation Bill 2025’ for first reading.
