PDP Crisis: I Have No Hand In The Expulsion Of Wike, Fayose, Others From Party – Gov Mutfwang
Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang says he had no hand in the decision to expel Nyesom Wike, Ayodele Fayose, Samuel Anyanwu and other PDP leaders.
In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Gyang Bere, the governor said the matter was never discussed at the PDP Governors Forum or the National Executive Committee before the motion was introduced.
“The Executive Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has formally distanced himself from the expulsion of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and former Governor of Rivers State, Barr. Nyesom Wike, former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, and Samuel Anyanwu, alongside other leaders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP),” the statement said.
He explained that the issue was neither discussed by the Governors Forum nor at the NEC before the motion was presented, adding that the move does not represent his position.
Governor Mutfwang also said removing key party figures at this critical moment is not a smart way to address the PDP’s internal problems.
He called for unity, dialogue and teamwork to rebuild the party.
