‘I’m Depressed’ – Tinubu Expresses Sorrow On Soldiers’ Killing
President Bola Tinubu has expressed sadness over the killing of personnel of the Nigerian Army by ISWAP terrorists.
This is contained in a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on Tuesday in Abuja.
Osun Defender reports that ISWAP terrorists abducted and killed some soldiers, including Brigadier General Musa Uba.
The President sought the support of Nigerians in local communities for the security operatives to perform optimally.
“I sympathise with the military over the death of the gallant soldiers and Brigadier General Musa Uba, who paid the ultimate price while on active duty fighting insurgents in Borno state.
“As the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, I am depressed with the tragic death of our soldiers and officers on active duty. May God comfort the families of Brigadier General Musa Uba and other fallen heroes.
“Our security forces cannot succeed in protecting us if the people don’t cooperate and share information that will help them keep our communities safe.
“Your cooperation is crucial in our fight against these security challenges,” the President said
