Osun NSCDC Nabs Motorcyclists For Allegedly Defiling Stepdaughter

The Osun State command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has apprehended a 32-year-old man, identified as Remi, for allegedly defiling his stepdaughter, whose name was not provided.

The victim, a 12-year-old girl, according to the command has been discharging maggots, after the suspect, a commercial motorcycle rider, who resides at Ofatedo area, had carnal knowledge of her.

In a statement by the command spokesperson, Kehinde Adeleke, the state commandant, Igbalawole Sotiyo, said the suspect was arrested on November 14, 2025, after a report from his wife.

“Investigation revealed that during one of the man’s visits to his mother’s place where the girl was staying, he dipped his fingers into the victim’s private part,” the statement noted.

The statement added that the victim’s mother explained that she got to know of the evil perpetrated by the suspect when the girl was handed over to her, and she noticed a foul smell from her body.

Commandant Sotiyo stated that the suspect voluntarily confessed to the crime.

In his confessional statement, “he stated that he had obtained a new motorcycle on instalment earlier that day and filled with excitement, he consumed alcohol, which allegedly prompted him to commit the crime,” the statement added.

The state commandant said the victim has been taken to the hospital for adequate medical attention.

He, therefore warned individuals who prey on minors to desist, saying the command will not hesitate to bring the full weight of the law upon anyone found culpable.

He reaffirmed the command’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that perpetrators of crime in the state face the full wrath of the law.
