The FRSC Sector Commander in the state, Olaleye Adegboyega, disclosed this in a statement issued on Wednesday.
Adegboyega said the accident occurred at about 9:30 p.m. and involved a black motorcycle with an unregistered number plate.
He stated that the crash claimed the life of the rider, while the second passenger was severely injured.
“The accident was caused by speed violations and disobedience to safety regulations,” the statement said.
According to the FRSC, the deceased has been deposited in the morgue, while the injured victim was taken to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.
Adegboyega urged road users to avoid excessive speed and ensure proper registration of their number plates for easy identification and verification.
