Group Congratulates Najeem Salaam on Emergence as Osun ADC Governorship Flagbearer
A support group known as The Symbolists has congratulated former Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Dr. Najeem Folasayo Salaam, on his emergence as the governorship flagbearer of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the 2026 Osun State gubernatorial election.
In a statement signed by its Team Lead, Yemi Adepoju, the group described his victory at the party’s primary as a significant milestone for advocates of progressive leadership and good governance in the state.
OSUN DEFENDER reports that Salaam was elected with the support of 482 party members and 53 special delegates, a development the group said reflected widespread confidence in his leadership and vision.
The Symbolists noted that the ADC’s candidate experience as a former Speaker has positioned him as a candidate with deep knowledge of governance, legislative processes, and grassroots development.
They said his track record in public service demonstrated commitment to integrity, inclusiveness, and sustainable development.
The group expressed optimism that, under Dr. Salaam’s leadership, Osun State would witness improved infrastructure, expanded economic opportunities, and people-centred governance.
They also pledged their full support, promising to mobilise members and supporters across the state ahead of the 2026 election.
