The Agbekoya Society of Nigeria (ASN) has threatened to take decisive action over the killing of three farmers in Igboho, Orelope Local Government Area of Oyo State.

The victims were identified as Aderoju Mukaila, Olawuwo Saka and Ojeniyi Ojebayo.

OSUN DEFENDER had earlier reported that Yoruba Nation agitator, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, raised an alarm over the attack in his hometown and called on President Bola Tinubu and the Federal Government to urgently tackle rising insecurity in rural communities across the South West.

Reacting, the ASN expressed deep shock over the killings, warning that it would no longer remain silent amid repeated attacks on farmers.

The society’s position was contained in a statement issued on Saturday by its Secretary General, Adegbenro Ogunlana, and signed by President General, Kamorudeen Okikiola.

ASN urged the Oyo State and Federal Governments to immediately investigate the incident, prosecute the perpetrators, strengthen security in farming communities and provide support for the families of the victims.
