Nigerians In Ghana Hail Ooni For Honouring Ghanaian President With Chieftaincy Title
Nigerians in Ghana have hailed the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, for honouring the Ghanaian President, John Mahama with a Yoruba chieftaincy title.
The Yorubas under the aegis of Yoruba Community in Ghana lauded the Ooni for considering Mahama worthy of the honour.
The President of All Nigeria Community in Ghana, Chief Bayo Ashaolu, who said he has resided in Ghana for over three decade said the Ooni of Ife has through the honour done President Mahama tightened the bond between Nigeria and Ghana.
He stated that President Mahama has always demonstrated good leadership since he assumed office as President of Ghana.
Ashaolu said he will use his office to facilitate more investment for Nigeria.
Ashaolu, in a statement by his media aide, Moses Owopade, said he is presently working on an investment opportunity with Nigerians in Ghana.
“I was present in Ile Ife during the event and I was amazed when the leading monarch of Yoruba declared the President of Ghana The Aare Atayeto of the World which can be interpreted as the one who rearranges the world.
“Honestly, that has been the vision and pronouncement of President Mahama. Even during his campaign before the election, he promised to reset Ghana. At the moment people can feel the commitment of the President. So the chieftaincy title is more of confirmation to the passion of President Mahama,” he added.
Ashaolu called on Nigerians in Ghana to always be law abiding.
