A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Yomi Alliyu, has alleged that Governor Ademola Adeleke has spent millions of naira to ensure the removal of the Chief Judge of Osun State, Justice Adepele Ojo.
The lawyer said the matter between Governor Adeleke and Justice Ojo would be concluded by the National Judicial Council in a matter of hours.
In a statement on his Facebook page, the lawyer accused Adeleke of witch-hunting Ojo because she worked with former governor Gboyega Oyetola.
He also said efforts by various groups in Edeland to wade in proved abortive, noting that nobody can dare the power of the Adelekes.
The lawyer wrote, “In the next few hours, one of the greatest injustices of GOVERNOR ADELEKE REGIME will be concluded by NJC!
“Like they removed kings, workers and chiefs that they believed had affliations with APC or Gov Oyetola, the regime spent millions of Naira on SANs and witnesses at NJC to remove the sitting CHIEF JUDGE OF OSUN STATE!
“What is her offence? She worked with Gov Oyetola and, as such, wrote the judgment for the election Tribunal! JUSUN is fighting till date waiting for NJC’s outcome!
“I, hitherto, went around begging and making promises to deaf ears to let the woman be being an indigene of Ede whose father was also the Balogun of Edeland like the father of the Governor!
“Ede Descendants Union was helpless. Ede Elders Council was rubbished. Kaabiyesi, the Timi of Edeland was voiceless! Who dares money and power of the ADELEKES?! Nobody except the Almighty Jehovah God of all Nations and all flesh!
“At NJC, I led the Chief Judge’s defence with 2 other SANs: Olasope and Adegboruwa. She sold a house and jewelries to fly 7 judges and 10 witnesses to Abuja and accommodate them in hotel. She fed us too!
“If she is asked to retire today she will get her salary and allowances for life, but history will NOT forget the role played by ADELEKES in cutting short the glory of Edeland, which for the 1st time in history, has his children heading both the High Court and the Customary Court of Appeal vide Rț. Hon Justice Oyebola Adepele Ojo and President Siyanbola.
“I thank God for the roles he made me to play in elevating the duo. I also thank Gov. Gboyega Oyetola for his support on the President’s appointment notwithstanding objections from other sections of Osun State on why two people from the same Ede North LG would head both arms of the Judiciary!
“We build. The government of Adelekes is bent on demolishing the glory of Edeland. If she is retired today, I wish my Lord the CJ happy retirement. If not, we will know that God truly reigns over men!.”
